
BIOGRAPHY
Carmen Messon
was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1964. Ever since she was a child, she has enjoyed drawing specially human’s figure and sculpts; as an adolescent she also has become passionate about painting as well.
She studied at The Lucchetti School of Visuals Arts in San Juan, Puerto Rico, known today as the Central School of Visual Arts.
She took a basic course in graphic design in the University of Houston, Texas.
Carmen also received a bachelor's degree in Communications specializing in the Visual Arts at the University of the Sagrado Corazón (Sacred Heart University), San Juan, Puerto Rico.
She has received various awards of recognitions for excellence of labor and dedication to the arts. One of her works was chosen from 203 paintings across the country and was selected winner by the Congressional Caucus of Washington DC in the Puerto Rican Cultural Institute.
She enjoys painting eyes inside different dimensions and symbols from the mystic live of the world. She connects a surrealism style in her works. She has also developed to perfection the art of portrait and landscape painting.
Everyone has his or her own way of seeing Carmen’s works, and she enjoys different interpretations: power, passion and mystery.
She paints freely. Her paintings are full of color, expressing a fragile passion, letting the energy pass from her paintbrush to the canvas to the viewer’s eye.
